Iced Cardamom Rose Latte
Espresso meets cardamom meets a hint of rose in this iced latte that is genuinely unlike anything you have had at a coffee shop.
Ingredients
- 60 ml espresso (double shot, cooled)
- 200 ml milk (any kind)
- 2 cardamom pods (crushed)
- 1 drop rose water (do not add more)
- 1 tsp honey (optional)
- ice (lots)
I got hooked on this flavor combination at a Middle Eastern cafe that made their lattes with cardamom-spiked espresso and a whisper of rose water. It was so good I reverse-engineered it at home.
You brew espresso with crushed cardamom pods, let it cool, pour it over ice with milk, and add just a drop — literally one drop — of rose water. That is it. But the result is floral and exotic and makes your regular iced latte feel boring.
