Ingredients
- 1 large mango, ripe, cubed
- 200 g yogurt
- 100 ml milk
- 2 tbsp sugar, to taste
- 0.25 tsp cardamom, ground
🥭 Mango Lassi
The ultimate cooling drink for curry nights. Three ingredients, two minutes, pure bliss.
There’s a reason every Indian restaurant serves this — it’s the perfect counterbalance to spicy food. Creamy yogurt, sweet mango, and a hint of cardamom blended into the smoothest, most refreshing drink you’ll ever have.
I make a batch every time I’m cooking curry. It’s become a non-negotiable in my kitchen.
👩🍳 Instructions
1. Blend everything together: Add ripe mango (fresh or frozen), thick yogurt, a splash of milk, sugar to taste, and a pinch of cardamom to a blender.
2. Blitz until smooth: Blend until completely silky — about 30 seconds.
3. Taste and adjust: More mango for sweetness, more yogurt for tang, more milk if it’s too thick.
4. Serve cold: Pour over ice and enjoy immediately.
💡 Tips from My Kitchen
Frozen mango works perfectly — it makes the lassi extra thick and cold without needing ice that dilutes it.
Use full-fat yogurt — it makes all the difference in creaminess.
A pinch of cardamom is the secret — it elevates this from a mango smoothie to a proper lassi.
