Japanese curry with Meatballs
Juicy meatballs simmered in mellow, slightly sweet curry poured over Japanese rice
Ingredients
- For curry sauce
- 1 onion (diced)
- 1 carrot
- 1 potato (diced)
- 1/2 apple (peeled and grated)
- 700 ml water
- 2=3 blocks Japanese curry roux (S&B Golden, Java Curry, etc.)
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 tbsp butter
- 1 tbsp chocolate
- For meatballs
- 250 g ground meat
- 1/2 onion finely chopped (sautéed until soft)
- 1 egg
- 2 tbsp panko breadcrumbs (soaked in a bit of milk)
- pinch salt & pepper
- oil (for frying)
